The Needs of Youth with Disabilities and Juvenile Justice
The National Council on Disabilities presents proven ways to help youth with disabilities in or at risk of the juvenile justice system in Addressing the Needs of Youth with Disabilities in the Juvenile Justice System: The Current Status of Evidence Based Research. The report emphasizes the need for more careful research of the issues. At the same time, the report identifies that current state of knowledge of ways to address the needs of these youth and children with disabilities. Ways or preventing delinquency and/or meeting the disability related needs of youth with disabilities are highlighted.
