Integrating Technology into the Regular Curriculum

One of the many challenges facing urban school districts today is ensuring that students with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social/emotional disabilities succeed in school. Towards that end, teachers, specialists, administrators, and families want to know how technology, media, and materials can be used to ensure that students with disabilities:

The Center to Link Urban Schools (LINK US) at the Education Development Center, Inc., is a 5-year project funded by OSEP addressing these needs. The goal of LINK US is to develop a model that guides urban schools in their quest to access and effectively utilize information and support for all students. At first, the project is working closely with two urban schools. That work will identify the best ways that technology can be used to support students with disabilities. The model will grow from the examples of methods that work in the schools under study. Once the model is developed, it will be extended to and used by other school districts.
